Within the 0-15 feet from your home:  Remove any conifers or dry/dead vegetation within the first 15 feet of your home’s exterior (this includes limbs)  Edge your home with gravel or small plants and flowers that are resistant to fire  Remove any needles, leaves, lichens, branches, or other debris from your roof and gutters  Remove organic debris that collects in cracks or materials such as your foundation, sidewalks, and driveway  Remove all combustible items from deck surfaces and underneath decking and stairs *
